We help clients take an assessment of their experiences, skills, their closest held values and passions to develop their own post-career plan. Our clients receive clear action steps and accountability to guide them from their current professional role to their personal ‘Primetime’.

Since its launch in 2018, LEANING OUT has partnered with premier women’s professional advancement organizations in both the US and Canada. Hundreds of women have participated in and benefited from LEANING OUT’s salons, workshops, coaching and online engagement.

About Us

LEANING OUT’s Founder, Trish Wheaton, is proud to be in the vanguard of Boomer professional women who challenged and changed the professional status quo like no work force in history. Over her 30+ year marketing career at WPP, the world’s largest communications holding company, she held a variety of C-Suite and global positions at two of WPP’s largest agencies, Wunderman and Y&R Advertising.
After leaving the corporate world, Trish realized she was not ready for retirement but was seeking ‘rewirement’ to find success and purpose post-career. Reaching out to top level professional women of her cohort, Trish realized she was not alone but there were few transition resources for women of her career stage to draw upon. Thus, the beginnings of LEANING OUT.
Trish holds an M.A. degree from the University of Minnesota and a B.A. from Gustavus Adolphus College. She is a former U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer. Trish has received a number of honors and marketing awards in three different countries and she has been an Independent Director on several corporate boards.
